Somewhere along the way, we stopped being where we are.

We fly across oceans and bring the noise with us. The inbox in our pocket. The camera raised before the moment has finished landing. A quiet, low-grade performance of proving we were there instead of actually being there.

To marvel is one of the most underrated reasons to travel.

We go to rest.
We go to eat and to drink
We go to learn.

We almost never schedule time to just be in awe

Tuscany has a talent for rediscovering what you thought you needed.

You went for the wine and the pasta…maybe a cooking class or to see a few landscapes.

But somewhere around day three you notice you’ve slowed yourself down without realizing it.
