Welcome Home Wednesday. Metro Atlanta buyers, here is your rate update. Mortgage rates just hit 7.40%, up from the 7.28% I shared last week, and the highest in nearly three years.

Here is the other side of that number: rising rates are pushing more sellers to cut prices and offer concessions. That means more choices, less competition, and greater room to negotiate for buyers this fall.
