Congratulations to Wayne Prier on winning the Outstanding Milkman Award from the Dubuque County Dairy Promotion Association last night!

This recognition is especially meaningful, as Wayne has dedicated 51 years to hauling milk—7 days a week, 365 days a year! Over that time, he’s taken roughly only 90 days off. The saying goes, “If you do what you love, you’ll never truly work a day in your life,” and that couldn’t be more true when it comes to Wayne.

Over the past five decades, he’s seen a lot and has countless stories to tell. One of the greatest joys of his work has been watching the producers—and their children—grow up and get involved in the operations, while also sharing the experience with his own kids and now grandchildren.

It’s an extreme honor to work alongside my father every single day and to have learned so much from him throughout my lifetime.
