We're especially interested in:

NEW ISTA Test Procedure 🚨

Research initiatives funded and conducted across India identified the need for a test procedure that better reflects the country’s unique parcel handling and climate conditions. In response, ISTA developed ISTA Project 3P: Packaged Products for India Parcel Delivery System Shipment, 70 kg (150 lb) or Less.

ISTA 3P is a general simulation test designed for packaged products weighing 70 kg (150 lb) or less shipped through the Indian parcel delivery network. The procedure reflects the combination of handling, transportation, and environmental conditions specific to India’s parcel distribution system.

ISTA has updated the ISTA 6‑Amazon.com-Over Boxing: E‑Commerce Fulfillment for Parcel Delivery Shipment test procedure following a technical review through its ANSI-accredited, consensus-based standards process.

These updates were made to better align the procedure with current Amazon fulfillment operations and evolving order profiles. Amazon has announced a four‑month grace period associated with these updates, with a cutoff date of August 1, 2026.

A new ISTA Test Procedure for European FTL Shipments is now available!

ISTA 3N: Similar Packaged-Products in Unitized Loads for Truckload Shipment in Europe is a general simulation test designed for unitized loads shipped via Full Truckload (FTL) carriers within Europe.

The procedure was developed using field data collected from European FTL shipments and reflects distribution conditions specific to that region and mode of transport.
