COMMUNITY NOTICE
Arcwood Environmental would like to provide an update to our neighbors and the East Liverpool community regarding routine maintenance activities that have been taking place at our facility throughout the week.
Beginning Monday, our team has been performing scheduled maintenance on the spray dryer unit within our incineration system. This process involves controlled blasting to remove hardened material buildup from the interior walls of the unit, helping ensure continued safe and compliant operations.
This maintenance is expected to be completed this afternoon, Thursday, October 8.
What should residents expect?
As work concludes this afternoon, nearby residents may continue to hear periodic horn signals followed by loud noises associated with the controlled blasting process.
The horn is a required safety warning that sounds before each detonation.
All maintenance activities are being conducted under the appropriate permit through the East Liverpool Fire Department.
We recognize that these sounds may be noticeable to our neighbors and want to provide clarity about the work taking place at our facility.
At Arcwood Environmental, we remain committed to maintaining safe, compliant operations while keeping our community informed.
We appreciate our neighbors' patience and understanding as we complete this important maintenance work.
