➡️Arcwood served as a Gold Sponsor for the Tribute to Lou Holtz fundraising event, benefiting the Upper Ohio Valley Museum at the Lou Holtz Hall of Fame. More than 100 guests gathered for an incredible evening featuring legendary coaches Skip Holtz and Urban Meyer, who shared stories, memories, and plenty of laughs while honoring East Liverpool native and coaching legend Lou Holtz.

📖🍎We also participated in the East Liverpool City Schools Back-to-School Bash! Our team had a table set up and donated a wide variety of school supplies to help ensure local students had what they needed to start the new school year.

We are incredibly honored to support events and organizations that make a difference in East Liverpool and throughout our surrounding communities, and we look forward to future opportunities.

👋Meet Christy Pease, Administrative Services Analyst in our Center of Excellence Department, who has been part of the company for more than 30 years!

Christy joined the company as a temporary employee in 1994, helping complete the facility's first Annual Hazardous Waste Report before accepting a full-time role as a Data Entry Coordinator in 1995. Today, she is based at our East Liverpool Incinerator, where she partners with engineers and plant leaders on projects, savings initiatives, capital planning, and operational support that help drive continuous improvement across the organization.

➡️What Christy enjoys most about Arcwood is the people (many of whom have become lifelong friends). One accomplishment she's especially proud of is learning Power BI and developing dashboards and visual tools—including the Daily Operating Summary—that provide valuable insights for plant operations.

Outside of work, Christy enjoys spending time with her husband of nearly 39 years, their son, daughter-in-law, daughter, and grandson. She also loves traveling, spending time with friends, and being outdoors.

Her advice: "Take advantage of every opportunity to learn."

👋Meet Brian Potter, Director of Chemical Recycling for Arcwood Environmental.

With more than 20 years of experience in the industry, Brian leads Arcwood's two recycling facilities, our household hazardous waste treatment facility, and our household hazardous waste collection programs for Southeast US.

Driven by honesty, integrity, dignity, and respect, Brian is passionate about developing innovative recycling solutions that capture value from modern waste streams and help advance a more sustainable future.

When asked what advice they'd share with others, Brian shared, "Keep grinding and good things will happen!"

🎓Through the Arcwood Scholarship Program, we're proud to support the educational goals of our employees' children. This year, we're awarding $107,500 in scholarships to 33 students as they pursue higher education at colleges, universities, and technical schools.

Recipients were selected through an independent review process administered by Scholarship America.

Today we’re excited to announce that we have acquired Environmental Management Services, Inc. (EMSI).

EMSI is a 42-person, Rockville, Maryland-based environmental services company specializing in hazardous waste management, emergency response and environmental compliance and safety services.

We look forward to welcoming EMSI to the Arcwood team and further enhancing the services we can offer to our Mid-Atlantic customers.

Arcwood Environmental can confirm that the material released Tuesday evening from a tanker in East Liverpool contained wastewater from a customer’s manufacturing processes. The majority of this wastewater is water, with trace amounts of metal constituents. Arcwood responded immediately to the release, and the material was promptly contained to a paved parking lot area. We are working closely with the authorities and confirm that there was, and remains, no risk to human health or the environment.
