Patty and I just decided to go to Mansfield for breakfast today. Was the first one there, came back to a ramp full of planes! The cafe had to call in extra help they were so busy😁. Great community support for airport. Great pilot breakfast spot. Fun to support local community’s. As pilots we are always looking for a good food trip, and an excuse to burn some avgas.😁

Took the Rans up for cross country trip to Mansfield for breakfast with Steve, not realizing a post from Tri cities about fly in breakfast today! Was great turn out, planes from Moses Lake Tri Cities Spokane and think I heard of someone from Western Washington. Can’t wait to get my rating to land on water, Columbia river a lot closer! Rans is faster than cars on highway ,but not a lot 😂.

Breakfast run to Mansfield’s Golden Grain Cafe! Runway clear and parking is plowed. Last picture is Matt and I up in our Rans S6-S for the first time! Good group showed up to Mansfield from Wenatchee and Chelan. Going to try to keep fly outs going this year.

Another Angel Flight in the books. 2 really great passengers, Boeing to Coeur D’ Lane. Beautiful weather we’ve finally been having. The little guy was soo good. Made sure to not hurt ears on descent. Matt with me as first officer😁. Wish I could do more of these rewarding flights. 🤞

Was able to do another Angel Flight before weather turned on the west side. Pickup at Boeing field, took back home to Coeur D’ Alene. Really nice flight back and forth.

Finally able to get in a second Angel flight Thursday from Spokane to Boeing , then back to Spokane Saturday. We were able to help some super nice people get to Seattle and back. So happy to volunteer our services for a worthy cause and help people when they are dealing with stressful situations.

Ridgeline Aviation, from Pangborn Airport sponsored a poker run for aviation days on the 22nd. Patty and I were handing out playing cards as the planes showed up, they came from Ephrata first. We were at Desert Aire, then back to Wenatchee for dealers hand. Included some pictures of new FAA placards for cowlings, to ease confusion.😁. Had pilots from Auburn and Bellingham, and I think the Vashon pilot was from Everett. Fun day!

Randy had his first Angel Flight today along with his support crew (me). Angel Flight is a service which coordinates travel for people who need medically necessary treatment. Today Randy flew to Spokane and then to Boeing field with a passenger. We were able to provide pilot, plane and fuel. We are thrilled we can donate our time and service to a worthy cause and give back to a community that has been so good to us.
