Valley Paddler is a small company offering Kayak, Canoe, and Pedal Boat Rentals on Nashawannuck Pond in Easthampton. Rates:

Single Kayak: $20/1hr, $35/2hr, $50/4hr

Tandem/Canoe: $25/1hr, $40/2h, $60/4hr

Pedal Boats: $20/30mins, $30/1hr, $50/2hr

Kids' Kayaks: $10/1hr, $15/2hr


Boats may be reserved up to 24 hours in advance, subject to availability. If you are not here to take your reservatio

n, it may be given away to a waiting customer. Life vests will be provided and must be worn by all children under the age of 18. Children, under the age of 18, must be accompanied by an adult.

Special hours this weekend: we’ll be open about 10:30-6 Saturday with a large group expected from 1-3pm so email if you want to reserve before or after. Right now we might have a 2 hour window available Sunday 3-5. Will update.

🚨 Attention Massachusetts paddlers! 🚨
From September 15th to May 15th, it's mandatory for everyone aboard canoes and kayaks to wear a USCG-approved PFD at all times. Falling overboard can quickly lead to hypothermia, especially as the weather begins to cool, and a lifejacket is the best line of defense to buy you time until rescue comes. 🌊🛶

Paddlers today kept telling me they’d seen a green heron. I find them a little harder to spot compared to the cormorants who are plentiful and the blue herons who are so big, so was surprised that so many people had sightings. But then this one came for a visit to show me they weren’t kidding!!!

·The "Art in the Orchard" ArtCart is up and running at Park Hill Orchard! We offer guests with mobility challenges a chance to experience the entire sculpture trail without walking! The ArtCart can accommodate 5 people, including one wheelchair.

This Labor Day Weekend, we are offering runs at 1:30 on Saturday, 2:30 on Sunday, and 1:30 on Monday. None of the runs are full at this time. To make a reservation, please call the ArtCart phone at 413-923-8050. If you're interested, please don't wait -- it's going to be a gorgeous weekend.

On future weekends, we plan to offer runs on Friday afternoon, Saturday morning and afternoon, and Sunday afternoon.
