We are looking to add to our team!

Easton Point Marina is a full-service boat yard and marina located on Port Street in Easton, Maryland, the only boatyard and marina in Easton. We are currently seeking an experienced and proficient marine mechanic/technician to join our service team. We offer competitive wages, training, benefits, and paid time off.

The marine mechanic/technician is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repair all kinds of marine vessels of various lengths and sizes.

Good communication with other employees and clients and following all procedures and safety precautions is required.

A minimum of 2-3 years experience in marine services is required. Certifications such as marine electronics, ABYC, Yamaha etc are a plus. In the right candidate, we will invest in their future by offering paid schooling and training.

A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.

Responsibilities to include but not limited to:

•Inspect, maintain, and repair marine vessels of all kinds.
•Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner.
•Inspect machinery, engines, transmissions, etc. and run diagnostic tests to diagnose functionality issues
•Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner.
•Perform thorough maintenance on machinery, equipment and systems.
•Perform full-service winterization and spring commissioning on all vessels.
•Keep organized records of time and work completed per each job
•Possess knowledge of machinery and hydraulic, electrical, and other systems and their components.
•Have knowledge and proficiency in using various hand tools, precision measurement tools, and electrical tools.
•Perform other duties/tasks as needed.

***Sassafras River Update*** Introducing the newest addition to the ShoreRivers fleet; our new Sassafras Riverkeeper boat! Thanks to Pier Pressure Marine Group Easton Point Marina and Callahan Signs for getting her ready for service and adding the lettering and logo. Special thanks to Georgetown Yacht Haven for their hospitality. Be sure to like their page so that you can see all of the great work they're doing to restore this iconic marina to its former glory. When you see me out on the river on this beautiful boat flag me down and say hello!

Water temperature is in the lower-mid 70s throughout the entire river. Dissolved oxygen levels ranged from 6.56-7.30 mg/L, which is lower than expected given the recent dry spell, but is still within a healthy range. Salinity levels are significantly higher than normal due to how dry it's been, ranging from 1.72-5.06 ppt. With the rain in the forecast for the next several days these salinity levels will likely drop. Today's wind stirred up a lot of sediment so water clarity was only 7" upriver and 16" at the mouth. We need volunteers to help build oyster reef balls at Easton Point Marina in August and September!

These reef balls provide great oyster habitat and attract a high diversity of aquatic organisms. They are a great method to engage volunteers and help restore species abundance in our rivers.
