Good Morning from the Ozark Empire Fall Farmfest!

We absolutely love hearing from customers ~ this smiling guy has a daughter that thinks the world of him and bought him a Scale & Trail! Their first calf of the season is on the ground, weighed, tagged, and momma and baby went on their way calmly.

Just letting you all know we are praying for you, whether you need rain or need sunshine, and for your safety as you work cattle to head to summer pasture. Blessings to you as you do your part to make the most delicious protein there is.

A lot of you have asked for a video of the cradle carrier in action. We were pairing out today and I got one for ya!

"May the rains fall soft upon your fields, and the sunshine warm your pasture.
May your calves thrive, your herd remain healthy, and your heart find peace.
May the road rise up to meet you, and the fences stay strong, until we meet again." HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!!

If it is on your heart to help, please do. Many good people and good cattle would truly and humbly appreciate it.

I’m surprised how many people don’t even know there’s a major wildfire burning in rural Nebraska right now. This land is rich in ranchland that supports thousands of cattle and is essential not only to Nebraska but to the livelihoods built on it. Many of these families are in the middle of calving season.

Altogether, multiple fires combined have burned roughly 600,000 acres across rural Nebraska, making it one of the largest wildfire events in the state’s history.

If you can help, please visit https://www.nebraskacattlemen.org/disaster-relief-fund.
It is a good place to start. Just getting the word out about what's happening will get more awareness. Praying for all those affected by these fires and the safety of our first responders.
🙏🙏🙏
The Nebraska Department of Agriculture has opened a “Hay and Forage Hotline” to connect buyers with sellers of hay, pasture, and other types of forage. The hotline number is (402) 471-4876.

Dear God, we lift up our friends and family to the west of us in Nebraska. We specifically ask that everyone fighting fires stays safe, that homes and livestock are protected, and that winds reduce enough to get the fires contained. Lord, please bring rain to our thirsty land.
Amen.

We couldn’t state this message any better. Many prayers for all involved in every way.

This morning, I read updates from ranchers watching wildfires move across parts of Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas. The words of these ranchers carried a weight that only lived experience can hold. Not panic or drama, just honesty of people who have stood in the path of dangerous fires before and know the cost.

For many of us, the closest we’ve ever come to a raging wildfire is a burn ban in our county or the faint smell of smoke on the wind.

But for others, it is the sound of flames moving faster than expected. It is loading trailers, counting cattle, and praying the fire turns before it reaches their home.

For ranchers, watching momma cows circle their calves as smoke thickens is not just heartbreaking. It is personal.

Those animals were tended through drought years. Fed from bottles. Watched through long nights when survival felt uncertain. They represent years of planning, sacrifice, and hope, not short-term profit.

And still, when the smoke clears, you will find ranchers walking blackened ground, already thinking about how to begin again.

The reality is heavy right now. Communities have been hit hard. Hundreds of thousands of acres have burned. Homes are gone. Firefighters have been injured protecting families, livestock, and land.

Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller has declared an agricultural emergency as resources begin mobilizing to help farmers and ranchers recover.

But beyond the headlines, this is about people carrying responsibility that most never see. Ranchers, families, firefighters, volunteers… Neighbors helping neighbors when everything feels uncertain.

My heart aches for all of it…
Please pray with me…

Jesus, we ask Your covering over every rancher, family, and firefighter standing in the path of these wildfires. Protect the cattle and wildlife. Strengthen those working long hours in smoke and danger. Bring endurance where hearts are weary and peace where fear has settled in. Guard the land and bring relief where it is needed most. Remind every person walking through this that they are not alone.

In Jesus’ name, amen.
