> At the Curb: Watch closely for individuals transferring in and out of vehicles on the curb. Give them plenty of space and time.
> At Crosswalks: Pedestrians using walkers, manual wheelchairs, or electric power chairs need extra time to safely cross the street. Never rush them or block a crosswalk.
> On the Walkway: Be mindful of driveways and sidewalk intersections where mobility devices may be entering or exiting.

RJ’s Law focuses on the "Silver Alert" model but specifically caters to those with neurodivergence or developmental disabilities who may not qualify for other existing alert systems. It bridges a critical gap in emergency response protocols.

The Missouri House gave their final approval to RJ’s Law on Thursday. It would establish a Purple Alert program that helps loved ones connect with law enforcement in the event someone with a disability goes missing.
