The topic of locomotive and rolling stock brands comes up from time to time, so I decided to do an inventory of which brands make up what percentage of my own fleet. Here are the results:

Freight Cars--Atlas 20%
Athearn & Micro Trains Lines tie at 13% ea
Kato 12% (all coalporters and well cars)
Intermountain 10%
Scale Trains 9%
At or below 5% are Exact Rail and Deluxe Innovations
At or below 2% are Wheels of Time, Fox Valley, Roundhouse, Bluford Shops, Rapido, E&C Shops, Trainworx, Red Caboose, and BLMA

Passenger Cars--Kato 100% (my passenger fleet is modern Amtrak and very small)

Locomotives--Kato 33%
Atlas 30%
Scale Trains 28% (but rising fast)
Intermountain 4%
And Fox Valley and Walthers (former Life Like) each at 2%

I am interested how your fleet looks. Let us know in the comments.

I'm very proud of the way this remodeled old warehouse structure came out. It is a great addition to the layout.
