When your business depends on cross-border trade, you need a customs team that plans ahead and keeps you informed.

A dependable customs team helps manage delays through careful preparation and coordination before freight reaches the border. César and our Customs Brokerage team bring the expertise needed to navigate the process with confidence.

“Our customers count on us to anticipate what’s needed and keep them informed. We take that responsibility seriously.”

Could your freight quote be missing part of the picture?

Transportation is only one piece of your total logistics cost. Customs duties, storage, timing, and border crossings also deserve a closer look.

Recently, Ivette from our FTZ and Customs Brokerage team helped a prospective customer explore how a Foreign-Trade Zone could fit into their import plan—and how that decision connects to the rest of their shipment’s journey.

The takeaway? Ask how each part of your logistics plan affects the next.

At EP Logistics, we help connect those decisions, bringing together FTZ, customs brokerage, warehousing, and transportation expertise to support your bottom line.

Thank you, Ivette, for helping customers see their options more clearly.

Import duties: pay now or defer?

With a standard import, duties are generally paid when merchandise enters U.S. commerce. This can commit working capital before the inventory is sold or used.

A Foreign-Trade Zone changes that timing. Qualifying merchandise may enter an FTZ with duties deferred until it enters U.S. commerce. If it is re-exported, U.S. customs duties may be eliminated. 📦💰

Could an FTZ help your company protect cash flow? Let EP Logistics evaluate your operation. 🌎

Reliable warehousing starts with a consistent receiving process.

At EP Logistics, inbound shipments are inspected, verified, and documented upon arrival. Photos, receiving records, WMS updates, and timely customer communication help maintain visibility and traceability from the moment freight reaches the dock. 📋📸📦

Over the years, I have seen that the people behind an operation are what transform it from functional to exceptional. Arturo, Chris, and Melissa are a great example of that.

They have done an outstanding job supporting the operation, maintaining the facility to a high standard, and keeping the Paseo FTZ space organized and running efficiently. Their hard work is reflected throughout the location and does not go unnoticed.

Thank you for everything you do.
