✈️✨ Governor Kevin Stitt has proclaimed August 19, 2025, as Oklahoma Aviation & Aerospace Awareness Day!
Oklahoma has been soaring since the days of Clyde Cessna and Wiley Post — and today, aviation and aerospace are the second largest industry in our state, fueling nearly $44 billion in annual economic activity and supporting over 206,000 jobs.
With 108 airports (45 jet-capable ✈️), world-class facilities like Tinker Air Force Base and the American Airlines maintenance base in Tulsa, and a proud aviation heritage, Oklahoma continues to be a global leader in flight innovation and aerospace.
Take a moment to celebrate our aviation history and future! 🚀 Visit one of Oklahoma’s incredible air & space museums and learn more about this industry that keeps our state moving forward.
