We'll get a good thaw today and Tuesday before temperatures come crashing down Tuesday night. Late tonight into Tuesday morning, some light precipitation will pass to the north of I-94. It looks to be mostly light rain, but it could end up as freezing rain toward Rice Lake and Ladysmith in WI depending which side of freezing temperatures fall there. It looks to snow much of Thursday and Friday, though snowfall amounts look light, with up to 4 inches of snow possible over the two days.

[12/30] Winter has definitely been wintering so far in December! Eau Claire is running well above average when it comes to snowfall! Our seasonal average snowfall is 55.4", and we're already a quarter of the way there.. just over 20" of ❄️ alone on the month so far! More to come today and tomorrow with minor accumulations likely. Snow lovers rejoice! 😅
