Fall is here. What does it mean for drivers?
Changing weather brings new challenges on the road. Cooler temperatures, rain, fog, and wet leaves can reduce visibility and traction.
Stay safe this season:
🍂 Slow down and avoid sudden maneuvers on wet or leaf-covered roads.
🌧️ Increase your following distance during rain and fog.
💡 Check your headlights, brakes, and windshield wipers regularly.
🧊 Be especially careful on bridges, which can freeze faster than regular roads.
🏫 Watch for increased traffic and pedestrians near school zones.
🔥 Make sure your heating system is working properly before colder days arrive.

🍂 Подготовка трака к осени
Осенью погода становится менее предсказуемой: дожди, туман, резкие перепады температуры и ранние заморозки могут повлиять на безопасность и техническое состояние трака. Поэтому лучше подготовиться заранее.
На что стоит обратить внимание:
🔧 Проверьте технические жидкости
Убедитесь, что уровень масла, антифриза, тормозной и других жидкостей в норме. Также проверьте систему на наличие утечек.
🛞 Осмотрите шины
Проверьте давление, глубину протектора и наличие повреждений. С понижением температуры давление в шинах может уменьшаться.
🛑 Проверьте тормозную систему
Осмотрите тормоза, шланги и воздушную систему. На мокрой дороге исправные тормоза особенно важны.
🔋 Проверьте аккумулятор
Холодная погода увеличивает нагрузку на аккумулятор. Убедитесь, что клеммы чистые, а батарея держит заряд.
💡 Проверьте освещение
Фары, поворотники, стоп-сигналы и габаритные огни должны работать исправно, особенно в условиях тумана и короткого светового дня.
🌧 Замените дворники при необходимости
Проверьте щётки стеклоочистителей и долейте жидкость для стекла, рассчитанную на низкие температуры.
🔥 Проверьте отопление и обдув стекла
Система отопления и обогреватель стекол должны работать исправно, чтобы сохранять видимость и комфорт в кабине.
🚛 Осмотрите трак и трейлер
Проверьте сцепку, fifth wheel, подвеску, зеркала, двери и уплотнители трейлера.

Speeding Violations: почему превышение скорости опасно для рекорда водителя 🚨
Превышение скорости - одно из самых серьёзных нарушений для трак-драйвера. Оно влияет не только на безопасность, но и на личный рекорд водителя, страховые выплаты и репутацию компании.
Важно помнить, что speed limit для траков может отличаться от ограничений для легковых автомобилей.
Особенно внимательно следите за скоростью:
🔺 на спусках — downgrades;
🔺 при въезде в небольшие города по US Highways;
🔺 в школьных зонах — school zones;
🔺 в зонах дорожных работ — construction zones.
В зависимости от штата, превышение скорости может привести к начислению штрафных баллов и отразиться в PSP и MVR водителя, а также в safety record компании.
Плохой рекорд может привести к серьёзным последствиям:
📉 меньше выгодных грузов для компании;
🚛 более частые проверки на weigh stations;

Following Distance: A Key Safety Rule for Truck Drivers
Maintaining a safe following distance is essential for every truck driver. Because of a truck’s size and weight, it requires more time and distance to stop safely. Leaving enough space ahead gives you more time to react and helps prevent accidents.
🔺 Increase the distance in poor conditions
Rain, snow, fog, ice, and low visibility increase stopping distance. Slow down and leave extra space.
🔺 Consider the size and weight of your truck
A fully loaded truck needs significantly more room to stop and maneuver than a passenger vehicle.
🔺 Stay focused on the road
Avoid distractions and watch traffic conditions ahead so you can react early to sudden changes.
🔺 Watch for brake lights
When the vehicle ahead begins braking, reduce your speed gradually and increase the safety gap.
🔺 Maintain a safety cushion
Avoid tailgating and leave enough space around your truck to maneuver during an emergency.
