Good Morning and Happy New Year! Rack & GO would like to announce the closing of our retail establishment as of today, Jan 1, 2025. While it is a sad day for us, letting go of our retail business, we are VERY excited about 2025 as our construction business has exploded. We have been building this business for the past 15 years and now have operations in NY, NJ, CT, PA and FL.

We do have some current inventory to liquidate. If you are in need of anything please email us with what you are looking for and if we have it we will be happy to let it go for a good price. Email [email protected] with any requests.

77-79 E. Main in Elmsford (just one door down from our old location).

Soft opening this week, Hopefully fully open by next week.

URGENT - DUE TO MAJOR FIRE IN OUR BUILDING OUR RETAIL LOCATION IS CLOSED FOR THE FORESEEABLE FUTURE. HOWEVER, WE ARE STILL OPEN FOR BUSINESS.

We are looking for a PT/FT person to work a minimum of 15 hours Max FT at our business (Rack & GO) in Elmsford. Hours can be made flexible for parents of school aged children... More time? More hours. Job requires significant multi-tasking skills: Sales admin: FU calls and Informational calls/emails A/R: Invoicing and A/R calls Project Mgmt. Admin: organizing and FU on Paperwork for small and large commercial construction jobs (insurance forms, qualification forms, estimating and billing forms etc.) Not a huge learning curve if you are a details driven person who is computer literate, but would be amazing if you have background in any one of the above (sales, A/R, construction/project management). PM me if you are interested or if you know someone.. Can start right away or train a couple of days a week over summer and start in September if you have summer plans :-)

HOURS TUES-FRI 10-5 and SAT -10-4 (Saturdays are a MUST)

- You MUST be handy with an allen and socket wrench for installing roof and hitch rack systems on all makes and models of cars, SUVs and trucks

- You MUST have the ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds.

- You MUST be able to read and follow instructions and work well within a small team environment.

- You MUST be a self-starter, be able to jump in with little instruction in a fast paced environment.

- Therefore, it is helpful to be comfortable working on cars and have a basic knowledge of different makes and models of cars.

- It is would be IDEAL if you've worked with THULE or YAKIMA products at a previous job.

- An ability to deal with the public in a professional manner and sell and close business are valuable as well. (friendly and sunny personality)

- It is important to be computer literate.

- Valid license and clean driving record a necessity.

Hard-working, Responsible, Self Starter, someone who knows that being on time means being 15 minutes early, are the most important virtues to becoming a member of our team. You should be a quick learner, able to think on your feet and have the ability to inform and educate others. Those with outdoor retail experience and/or familiarity with the Thule or Yakima product line a plus!

Full-Time position TUES-SAT. Salary commensurate with experience.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

Full-time hours come with contribution to health insurance

We are in need of a semi-full time person in a permanent position to answer phones (and when things are quiet do some light support paperwork) at our VERY busy retail(ish) business in Elmsford.

Hours: Tues-Fri 10-4 or 5 depending on availability (and Sat if willing/able) to answer calls, take messages and be trained to actually answer customer questions.

We run a VERY tight crew and between helping customers and doing installations, the phones just ring off the hook.

You will be essentially in your own area - away from the retail space - so very little contact with public or the people that work there.

Requirements:
- Excellent phone presence
- Ability to work under pressure with little supervision
- Ability to work alone
- Excellent computer skills
