I got a new laptop for my birthday/Christmas and one of the super cool things I can do with it is DRAW! This excites me because I hate physical clutter, so drawing out my custom designs isn't really a thing I have done before...but now that it's so easy and I don't throw out drawings that don't work out and waste paper and ink... Anyway, long story short: here's one of the things I'm working on! I had to rethink the design I started with yesterday because it wasn't working out, but that's okay!

This custom double-insulated beanie is made from the Peruvian brand Illîmani Santi (available at The Yarn Underground, LLC, in Moscow, ID). It is a yak-blend yarn that is buttery soft, lightweight, and toasty warm. The pattern will be available in my Ravelry shop soon or you can order your own through me in February for $40 (before tax and shipping).

Holy smokes, folks!! It's been a few weeks since I last posted; I have been very busy finishing up Pathway, orders, and getting ready for Christmas. I want to thank all of you who have supported me over the last four months. I have the final comprehensive exam left, and then I'm DONE and ready to start as a full-time student with BYU-I in January. Wish me luck!!

Happy birthday to me! Currently blocking my 17-month-old's sweater ("Flax" by Tin Can Knits in "Local" from The Yarn Underground, LLC) and I'm in heaven! I'm thinking I may have to soak it one more time, I had tons of dye come out when I washed it. It's beautiful and I can't wait to see what it looks like on the baby 😍
