Small presses make their profits by selling books to consumers, rather than selling services to authors or selling a small number of copies to the author's friends.

Small presses should not be confused with printers. Small presses are publishers, which means that we engage in a book selection process, along with editing, marketing and distribution. When selecting who to publish I look for work that is interesting, that has heart, that has something to say. I started small with saddle stitched chapbooks, eventually moving to perfect bound, I added anthologies and books. My aim is to publish 4 books a year plus an anthology.

If you are looking for a publisher my submission guidelines will be changing in about July, 2019, I would suggest you purchase a book to see what I’m about. Guidelines are on the website: www.utteredchaos.org.

I am still currently reading manuscripts from my last open reading period and should be finished and making decisions shortly (by the middle of May).
