Wow.
Its really hard to come up with a caption when the video speaks for itself.
Im crying over a younger version of me that I hardly remember.
Growing up I always, always had the heart of an entrepreneur. I just didnt fully understand what that meant. ...so I just went on thinking I wanted to grow up and be a teacher. Chasing my own dreams seemed so far fetched and wasnt the "norm"
No one really spoke of staring their own businesses when I was young. I dont think I even knew it was a possibility.
We turned on Mickey Mouse Club and Kids Incorporated as soon as we got home from school. - we thought being on TV was easier than starting a whole entire business. 🤣
I really thought I could ACTUALLY meet Damon from Mickey Mouse Club and then while I was there, I could you know, audition and be a Mousketeer 🤣 its laughable, but yall. I was SO SERIOUS.
Anyway. I came to my senses at 11 years old... took the high road and made my own business at home. My sister and I used our closet as an elevator (to get to our offices of course). We got notebook paper, magazines and all the supplies to cut creations. We became "office workers" - dont ask what we did. We couldnt tell you. ...I just know we cut up those magazines, made collages and then wrote random letters and put them in mailing envelopes to go to the other offices in the house (obviously).
Its 2026. 40-something years old with a frozen shoulder and a remarkable life so far. That little girl grew up and became a wife, a Mom, a whole entire business owner (heck yeah little Natalie - we did the dang thing) and even an author 🤯 - too wild to comprehend. I know.
And...Mom & Dad are still the COOLEST parents. And our sister & brother are so much fun...we dont even argue like we did when we were little. 😆🤣
We even have the most talented, special, wonderful, incredible, supportive friends. ❤️ We are beyond blessed.
..So much for not knowing what to say 😆
