Our EVV Live! studio audience had a special message for our local heroes during last week’s State of the Airport with Evansville Rotary: Thank you. 🇺🇸

These are just some of the many cards written for Operation Mail Call during our show on location at Bally’s.

For more than a decade, EVV has proudly partnered with Honor Flight of Southern Indiana and American Airlines to send thousands of local heroes to Washington, D.C., to visit the memorials built in their honor.

Mail Call is one of the many special moments on the journey home, when veterans receive letters and cards of gratitude from family, friends and our community.

Now it’s your turn. Mail Call is open for EVV21! Write to a specific veteran or simply address your note “Dear Veteran.” Drop off letters and cards throughout the tristate area by Sept. 17. Please leave envelopes unsealed.

That’s a wrap on EVV Live! 🎬✨

Today’s State of the Airport told a story of momentum and the people and partnerships behind it.

More travelers are choosing EVV, air service continues to grow and investments are positioning our airport for the future. And through innovation, accessibility and strong community partnerships, we’re continuing to reimagine the airport experience and what’s possible at EVV.

We brought that story to life today, talk show style, alongside special guests Kirk Lovell, Doug Petitt, Michelle Kirk and Rick Kaskel, with a packed Live! studio audience at Bally’s Riverfront Pavilion.

EVV’s Public Safety Department will conduct required aircraft rescue and firefighting training this evening and tomorrow.

Passengers and those traveling near the airport may notice emergency vehicles and activity on the airfield. Please rest assured that these are planned training exercises and not an actual emergency. Airport operations will not be impacted.

» Did you know? Airport rescue and firefighting trucks are bright yellowish-green, one of the easiest colors for the human eye to detect and highly visible during the day and at night.

Today and every day, we celebrate the incredible doggos who bring joy, comfort and connection to so many.

Here at EVV, our EVV Crew Dogs — Willow, Fender, Kyra and Crypto, affectionately known as our Fab Four — bring an abundance of smiles and puppy love to passengers and employees alike during their airport visits. And for that, we’re incredibly grateful. 💙

Rumor has it, the Fab Four may soon be making room for one more. 👀🐾
