Great River Energy Mesabi Trail Bike Tour of 2026 is going to be outstanding!!! Early Frost Farms will be our first rest stop and they will have their special treat there!! We are honored to have them on our tour this year! Register for this years tour August 1, 2026 and the ride is from Embarrass Minnesota , starting at Timber Hall and going to McKinley and back to Timber Hall! 46 miles round trip...one way down hill and other way up hill. Construction between Pengilly and Nashwauk is still going on and thr trail is still closed. Mesabi Metalics hopes to have it done by Memorial weekend. There is no detour. We will update you when finished.

Nashwauk kiosk offers a great spot to have a snack, refuel, and if you need anything, Sinclair is across the street with hot food. Mesabi Trail and City of Nashwauk partner to have the picnic table there to help riders. We are still loving the new updates on this kiosk!! We are still improving things when monies are available. Don't forget maps are at kiosks and also buy your pass. Thanks for supporting Mesabi Trail!

You might notice new signs on the arches and kiosks have been updated!! They still have some to go, but it is looking good out there!! We have a great volunteer that is working hard on these, and if you see him, say thank you!! Also, trails are sitll.being cleaned off from.winter debris, be safe!!

More places for wheel passes!!! These stops have coffee, water, deli food, specialized treats like Tikes meats, Caribou, hot food made fresh and treats!! They are valuable to our communities and trail system!! Stop in, buy a pass, and eat! Life is good along the Mesabi Trail!

Bikes on Howard is open Wednesday (10am-5pm) through Saturday (10am-2pm). They have wheel passes, Trek Dealer, accessories for your bike and even do maintenance and tune-up if needed. They are located in Hibbing off of Howard street.

The sun has been out for TWO days in a row! The snow is melting and some spots might have some debris, rocks, sand, and trash. Just know this week our incredible awesome maintenance person was able to start blowing off trail, remove debris and getting things started. It will take a bit to get the whole trail cleaned, but be patient and all is good.
