To the supporters of Wi******er Boat Works,

"A time to build up, a time to break down"

This quote from the Byrds' "Turn! Turn! Turn!" comes to mind as we prepare for the next chapter in our company's history.

This shall be my last post for Wi******er Boat Works as the General Manager while the company moves to its new home in Minnesota. I want to thank you all for your support over the years. It's been an exciting ride that has seen some wonderful new products and beautiful restorations completed. We are proud of everything that we have accomplished here at the Presque Isle facility.

Please keep in touch as we move forward.

It has been an honor to be part of something so special.

After about 7 months of planning Wi******er Boat Works will be relocating to Minnesota.

Changes in ownership and product distribution have created a situation where the success of the boats future is best served with this relocation.

Wi******er has enjoyed many years of production in Northern, Wisconsin. Over the coming months the company will meet the obligations of its clients and discontinue taking on new orders.

The company will retool its product and marketing programs and reopen new boat products and wood boat restoration soon.

Thank you for you support and we look forward to being back up in production.

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our Founder, Willi Kruschinski. He peacefully left our world last night, February 23rd, 2016.

"A quiet troll across the lake
Its surface still and mirrored
The moisture in the air so thick
As morning sun appears

The line is whipped with deft finesse
It sails with graceful ease
Near reeds exposed, and tangled roots
Just missing willowed trees

The first bite starts the tingled thrill
All time is stopped in place
No sound or movement, not a breath
This single-focused face

A stronger tug, the pole is flicked
The hook so cleanly set
The game goes on with line kept tight
The prize steered toward the net

The feeling of accomplishment
It saturates your soul
