This month, we’re happy to recognize Clear Skies, a longtime member of FAI’s East Ramp community!
For the past 10 years, they have owned and operated their building on the East Ramp, leasing space to several local aviation businesses while also providing 100LL AvGas and jet fuel. Over the years, they have made several improvements to the property, including a new restaurant and medical office space, a bi-fold hangar door, solar panels, and a new self-service 100LL system.
Last year, they also added the first and only self-service jet fuel system on FAI’s East Ramp.
Today, the building is fully leased and home to East Ramp Wood-fired Pizza, 70 North Air, Aviation Medicine Fairbanks, Fairbanks Avionics, an FAA Designated Pilot Examiner, Alaska Tailwheel, LLC, and aircraft tie-downs. East Ramp Wood-fired Pizza also recently celebrated its ninth year in business!
Aviation is truly a family affair for the owners. Anders recently established a Part 135 certificate and operates Nunatak Air, LLC with their Cessna 182. He also works across the ramp at Qavvik Air, while his wife is an Alaska Airlines flight attendant. Their nine-year-old daughter, Amalie, has grown up spending time at the hangar right alongside them.
We appreciate everything they have invested into FAI’s East Ramp and our aviation community!
