Put on a trusty harness and attached myself to a 24 inch catwalk, 876 feet above the ground, to walk the New River Gorge Bridge in West Virginia. About halfway through, I decided that 876 feet was about 871 feet too many, but I made it!

My soul temporarily left my body when I visited Mountain Lake Lodge aka Kellerman’s! I did not carry a watermelon but I did see the main lodge, the gazebo, the restaurant, Baby’s cabin, and the (now dry) lake. The original cinder blocks that Johnny and Baby stood on to practice the lift in the lake are still on site. Dreams do come true.

Have you ever been to Jungle Jim’s in Cincinnati? It’s a culinary trip around the world. Part amusement park, part international grocery store, fully amazing.

While at Churchill Downs, I took the Superstars and Spires tour. We toured the suites where the high rollers hang out, got a great view of the famous twin spires, and even saw where Queen Elizabeth watched the races. Before the tour, I fueled up on a mint julep and Kentucky Hot Brown sandwich.

We took a little Halloween getaway to Miamisburg, OH for Ghostbusters Weekend at the historic Plaza Theatre. The Real Ohio Ghostbusters showed out!

I took a trip to Churchill Downs to check out the Kentucky Derby Museum and take a couple of tours. I didn’t enter as a horse girl, but I may have left as one.

After my conference wrapped up for the day, I headed south to the Nulu neighborhood in Louisville to pour a candle at . They had dozens of scents. I settled on a mixture of mint and sandalwood and it smells great! (I picked up two Crumbl cookies on the way.)

I forgot to include these dinosaur fossils in my last post about Hanover. Who knew Indiana had a state fossil? Not me.

Finally back on the road! It was for a work trip to Hanover College in Hanover, IN but you know I made it fun! Look at this view of the Ohio River from their campus!
