Last week I spent a week flying out of Buena Vista. After flying above Colorados 2 highest peaks (Mt Elbert and Mt Massive) on one day, I dropped down over a mile for a short stop at Leadville airport. This video captures my landing and takeoff there. Leadville airport (KLXV) is the highest elevation (9950') public airport in the US. Normally, it is either very challenging or almost impossible (due to very high DA) to fly an UL trike into this airport, but for my Maverick trike configured with an ATOS VRS190 wing it was quite easy. Hope you enjoy the video. 😀
This video highlights my flight into and out of Leadville, CO (KLXV) in my North Wing Maverick trike with ATOS VRS190 wing during Sept 2025.
