There's been a lot of planting going on this week, and we couldn't be more excited!

This morning, Fargo Park District staff joined community partners to plant 85 trees and bushes in celebration of Arbor Day.

A huge thank you to the The City of Fargo, Bobcat Company, the North Dakota Forest Service, Fargo Public Schools Carl Ben Eielson Middle School and River Keepers for helping make this morning such a success.

Trees play an important role in keeping our parks and community healthy by reducing air pollution, cooling the atmosphere, providing shade for play, preventing soil erosion and supporting a stronger environment for years to come.

Here’s to growing Fargo, one tree at a time! 🌱

The Fargo Park Board will meet today, Tuesday, May 12, at 5:30 pm. Join in person at the Fargo Parks Sports Center located at 6100 38th Street S., Fargo, ND 58104 or online via Fargo Park District Facebook and YouTube channel.

Commissioners will hear updates from Fargo Park District leadership and recent updates from the Governance and Planning committees.

Spring is taking its time at Orchard Glen Park this year! 🌿🌤️ With cooler temperatures and a drier spring so far, the trees are waking up a little slower than usual and blooms have not started just yet. While you won’t see the orchard bursting with flowers quite yet, buds are beginning to form and greener days are ahead! 🌸🍎

Want to keep an eye on bloom progress? We’ll be updating the Orchard Glen Bloom Tracker regularly so you can follow along as the orchard comes to life. With so many different varieties of fruit trees throughout the park, blooms happen in waves, meaning each visit brings something new to discover.

🎨✨ Calling All Mini Makers! ✨🎨

Got a creative kid or teen who loves to make things? The Mini Makers Mart is the perfect chance to turn those handmade creations into a real market experience!

We’re looking for young entrepreneurs ages 8-17 to sell their art, crafts, treats, and more. Apply by June 15 to get your name in the running for this NEW event at the Island Park Show.
