🐾 Yunker Farm Dog Park will be temporarily closed starting Monday, October 12.

All bays will be closed through Friday, October 16 while crews install new concrete pads for future picnic tables. For the safety of pets, park users and construction crews, no people or pets will be allowed in the bays while work is underway.

This upgrade comes in response to requests from our dog park community and will provide a cleaner, more durable spot to sit and enjoy time with your pup.

Thanks for your patience while we make these improvements! 🐶

The Fargo Park Board will meet tomorrow, Tuesday, October 6, at 5:30 pm. Join in person at the Fargo Parks Sports Center located at 6100 38th St. S., Fargo, ND 58104 or online via Fargo Park District Facebook and YouTube channels.

Commissioners will hear updates from Fargo Park District leadership, consider park and land agreements, review a grant opportunity for future campground improvements, discuss the 2027 final budget, and receive reports from the Governance and Planning Committees.

🌳 3,500 trees and shrubs. Hundreds of helping hands. One healthier Red River corridor.

This week, volunteers from across our community came together for Reforest the Red, getting their hands dirty planting, staking, mulching and watering 3,500 new trees and shrubs along the Red River.

These new plants will help strengthen riverbanks, support native vegetation, improve water quality and provide habitat for local wildlife. 🌱

A huge thank you to the volunteers who made this work possible, including teams from Shanley High School-, U.S. Bank, FedEx, Goldmark Property Management, Ulteig, Marvin, CHI Friendship, ASN Constructors, Bell Bank, Border States, Cornerstone Bank, Swanson Health, KAJ Hospitality, John Deere and HDR, along with the many individual community members who donated their time and energy.

We’re also grateful to our Reforest the Red partners, including River Keepers, The City of Fargo and the Cass County Soil Conservation District. We’re proud to be part of a community that shows up to care for our parks, river and natural spaces. 🌳
