I hope this letter reaches you rested after a busy holiday season. Suzy McDonald is one of our dispatchers here at Bellerud Transport, Inc. Suzy has worked for Bellerud Transport for 12 years in January 2018. On December 8th, Suzy received some bad news in that she has Ductal Invasive Carcinoma Stage 2 Breast Cancer. She had surgery on January 5th. They were able to remove the tumor, but cancer was also found in a couple of her lymph nodes as well, so they performed an Axillary Node Dissection and removed 15 Lymph Nodes. After the Surgery, Pathology checked the tumor and found out the margin was not good, which means there will have to be a second surgery, which now will be a masectomy with reconstruction soon. Unfortunately, this will make the recovery longer since Suzy will be having chemotherapy also. Suzy has a daughter, Alayna. This is going to be tough time for Suzy and Alayna during the time of surgery, radiation, chemotherapy and recovery. We are setting up a benefit event for Suzy and Alayna on March 18, 2018 after the medical events have taken place. I am asking for your help in the form of a donation or silent auction items. Monetary donations will be used to purchase silent auction items for the event. There is an account that you can use at Bell State Bank in the name of Suzanne McDonald Benefit Fund, if you so wish to make a monetary donation. The benefit account is set up. If you would rather supply silent auction items, please contact me and I will pick them up. I hope you will find it in your heart to help in the benefit for Suzy and Alayna.
