On the morning of the 28th of December, My employee at J.A.M.S. and good friend, Jacob, his wife, and three young children awoke to the unimaginable. The father, Jacob, woke up to thick smoke and, upon investigation, realized his home was on fire. With black smoke filling his lungs, he rushed to save his wife and three children. The fire was so intense that over eight fire trucks and emergency vehicles were dispatched. Jacob incurred smoke inhalation and wrenched his back saving his family, resulting in hospitalization.
Their home was a total loss. The fire department determined it was an electrical fire within the walls that swept rapidly through the small home. Had Jacob not acted so swiftly, lives would have been lost.
Unfortunately, they have no insurance or family in the area. We are waiting to see if Red Cross can help at all. They are now homeless.
They need our help. Anything and everything is needed. Donations of ANY kind would be greatly appreciated. As you can imagine, Jacob is devastated losing everything their family has worked their entire life. Imagine yourself in this inconceivable position. School supplies, gone. Clothing, gone. Jacob's tools/livelihood, gone. Brand new Christmas presents, gone. Your favorite pillow, gone.
Let's pull together and give this family hope at this time of year.
