Ceramic coating maintenance guide
Phase 1
• Wash coated surfaces every two weeks to avoid contamination from building up on the surfaces.
• If there are bird droppings, bug splatter or road grime from sitting on coated surfaces, remove immediately with an approved cleaner (note! Do not use any abrasive products on coated surfaces to remove contamination).
• Avoid washing coated surfaces in direct sunlight to avoid water from spotting and streaking the surfaces.
• Use the " two bucket" washing method. One bucket will be filled with a ph-neutral soap containing no wax or sealers, or a ceramified ph-neutral soap that aids in replenishing the slickness and health of the ceramic coating and one bucket will have clean water for rinsing the sponge or Mitt being used.
• Always use a separate bucket system for cleaning wheels (note! Contaminants, road grime, brake dust, tar etc. Can cause severe marring on even the toughest coated surfaces).
Phase 2
• Immediately dry off vehicle with an approved drying towel, compressed air, or filtered blowing system to avoid water from drying on the surfaces.
• Wipe the washed surfaces in a methodical manner using like pressure allowing the towel to naturally absorb the water of the surfaces preventing rub lines being pushed into the coating.
• Note! Allowing water from a tap, well or non-filtered source to dry on the surface of the
vehicle will cause water spotting from the minerals that have been absorbed into the water. This will leave behind spots and rings left behind from the minerals that have clung to the surface of the coating.
PHASE 3
• Inspect the vehicle's finish for any residue left over from the washing process
• Use an approved maintenance spray or ceramified detailer to add the final wearable, hydrophobic " water sheeting or beading" layer adding more protection back on the ceramic coating.
• Some wearable layers are meant to be applied bi-weekly, monthly, or even every 6 months.
• Note! Never spray products on surface directly or in direct sunlight. Always spray products into approved microfiber towel and wipe in thoroughly with minimal pressure until residue is not visible.
• Excessive product application can cause streaking and residue issues. Use minimal product for best results.
Finally! Enjoy the crazy gloss and slickness of your refreshed ceramic coating.
