A lot of people here in Flagstaff know me as ā€œthe trash guy.ā€ šŸ¤”

I’ve been doing junk removal for almost 5 and a half years now, going on 6 years this November. šŸ¤

But over the years, Flag Hauling LLC has grown into a whole lot more than just hauling stuff away.

• Demolition
• Excavation
• Gravel Spreading & Driveways
• Green Waste & Pine Needle Cleanup
• Junk Removal
• whirlpool bath Removal
• Property Cleanup
• Trenching & Grade Work āœ”ļø

One thing I’ve really started realizing while building this business is how many people are involved behind the scenes on these projects.

When customers hire us, it doesn’t just help me.

It helps:
• Equipment operators
• Truck drivers
• Laborers
• Subcontractors
• Team members
• Local businesses šŸ’Æ

There’s a domino effect behind a lot of these jobs, and honestly, that’s become one of my biggest motivations in life!šŸ‘

Most importantly, we solve problems for people. 🫔

We help homeowners move forward on projects they’ve been stressing over for months, sometimes years.

We help realtors with last-minute situations. šŸ‘Œ

We clean up properties and help bring them back to life.

And we always try to go the extra mile whenever we can.

One thing I’ve learned is that if you slow down and really pay attention on a job site, there’s usually more ways you can help people than just the original project.šŸ‘

That’s the part of this work I’ve grown to love the most!šŸ¤™

Not just building a business, but helping people move forward in life!

I know what rock bottom feels like.
I know what it feels like to struggle mentally, physically, financially, and emotionally. šŸ‘ˆ

That’s why one of my goals moving forward is giving hardworking people opportunities and second chances whenever I can.šŸ™Œ

Sometimes all someone needs is another shot.

At Flag Hauling LLC, we believe in:
• Showing up
• Working hard
• Being honest
• Treating people right
• Taking pride in our work
• Communicating properly
• Leaving jobs cleaner than we found themšŸ”„

'Before the BBQ's, Beers, Lake days, and Long weekend social media posts, just remember what Memorial Day is actually about'

I’ll be honest, for a lot of years Memorial Day weekend was mostly about getting together with friends and family, firing up the grill, drinking some beers, heading out to the woods, and having a good time. I never really stopped to think about what the day truly meant until these past couple of years.

Today is for the men and women who never made it home.

The freedom we have to work, build businesses, spend time with family, hit the trails, hunt, laugh, struggle, grow, and live our lives on our own soil came at the ultimate cost for somebody else.

It’s easy to take everyday life for granted until you really stop and think about it.

I’m grateful for the people who sacrificed everything so we could live the lives we do today!

Take a moment today to remember what this day is really about. šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡²

Well… my stubborn ass really did it this time with my knee šŸ˜‚

Honestly, this whole thing has been a reminder that growth is actually pretty boring most of the time. šŸ‘ˆ

Everybody wants the results.
The PRs.
The progress photos.
The big moments.šŸ™ƒ

But nobody talks enough about the repetition behind it all, what happens behind closed doors.

Doing the same thing every day.
Stacking boring days.
Going on runs when you don’t feel like it.
Eating healthy.
Getting your workouts in.
Showing up tired.
Waking up and doing it all over again.

That’s really what consistency is. šŸ¤

And honestly, I think there’s something powerful about being monotonous.
About being willing to do the same thing over and over without needing constant excitement or motivation.

It’s basically compounding interest, except instead of money, it’s your body, your mind, your endurance, your discipline. šŸ‘Œ

One day doesn’t seem like much.
One workout doesn’t seem like much.
One run doesn’t seem like much.

But stack enough of them together and eventually you’ll look back and realize you just hit 3 PRs in one night.

Keeping an 8 to 9 minute pace felt pretty damn good, not gonna lie.

Even though my knee is yelling at me right now, this is probably a blessing in disguise.

Now it’s teaching me there are other areas I need to work on too, hip mobility, recovery, strength, and the smaller things that help me last longer physically and mentally so I can eventually work toward bigger races and someday get that solo marathon in. āœ”ļø

At the end of the day, none of it happens without consistency.

Even when it’s boring.
Even when it hurts.
Even when nobody sees the work being put in behind the scenes.

Just keep stacking days.

One thing I’ve learned over the years as a business owner… jealousy gets you nowhere.

I finally walked down the street the other day and introduced myself to another local guy in the hauling industry. Yeah, technically he’s competition, but honestly, super cool dude. We stood there talking business, life, equipment, marketing, and the grind for probably 30 minutes.

Seeing him wrapping his trailer and building his side hustle honestly fired me up. That’s how I started too, doing this on the side before taking the full leap.

At the end of the day, there’s enough work out there for everybody willing to work hard, treat people right, and keep showing up.

You don’t have to hate on people to succeed. You don’t have to talk down on competitors. And you definitely don’t have to be jealous of someone else trying to build something for themselves or their family.

Sometimes all it takes is introducing yourself and realizing we’re all just people trying to figure it out as we go.

Rooting for you, your wife, and your kids, man. Nothing but respect for the fathers out there waking up every day, grinding, sacrificing, and doing whatever it takes to keep food on the table and a roof over their family’s head.

Keep kicking ass šŸ‘Š

Double trailers. Double the teamwork. Let’s get it šŸ’Ŗ

Another house clean out in the books.

Big thank you to Michele Derryberry for continuing to support Flag Hauling LLC over the years and trusting us again in 2026. Repeat customers truly mean a lot to a small local business like mine. šŸ™

There was a total of roughly 40 cubic yards of household items, furniture, and miscellaneous contents that needed to be hauled off from the property. During the clean out, we were able to pull aside and donate nearly 10 cubic yards of usable household furniture and items instead of sending everything straight to the landfill. āœ”ļø

A lot of people assume every house clean out is just ā€œjunk,ā€ but many times there are still good reusable items that can help local families, nonprofits, and people in need. We always do our best to donate what we can whenever possible and help keep unnecessary waste out of the landfill.

One project can help a lot more people behind the scenes than most realize. šŸ”„

'Keeping Northern Arizona Beautiful'

Thank you to everyone involved that helps keep in this mission/journey going! We appreciate all the support 🤘

Another small project wrapped up for a repeat customer of ours.
(16Ɨ40 shed pad installation)šŸ™

Last year while working out there, I mentioned that this shed probably should’ve been sitting on a proper pad instead of directly on dirt and wood blocks. This year she gave us a call back and we got it taken care of, installing a recycled concrete pad for the shed.

Nothing huge, but these are the kinds of jobs I appreciate.

A lot of our customers have been with us for years now, and that loyalty means a lot to me. We try to take care of the people that take care of us.

I’ve learned that good business isn’t about squeezing every dollar out of people. It’s about solving problems, being honest, doing clean work, and building long-term relationships.

We are very Grateful for every repeat customer that continues to support Flag Hauling LLC. We truly appreciate it. šŸ’Æ

COMFORT IS A TRAP.
Anyone else do this… or am I just wired different?
When things start going good, money’s stacking, stress is low…
that’s when I get nervous.
Because I’ve been there before.
Comfortable turns into stagnant real quick.
So I do the opposite.
I create pressure.
Yesterday I paid off my Bobcat.
Took a solid hit to my savings… on purpose.
Not because I had to.
Because I know how I operate.
I work harder when I’m hungry.
I think sharper when there’s something on the line.
People don’t see this side of it…
bidding jobs and not getting them,
dealing with tough customers,
reinvesting everything back into the business,
betting on yourself over and over again.
This isn’t a steady paycheck.
This is a gamble every day.
But I’d rather live like that than get comfortable and soft.
Even the hate, the doubters, the people that switched up…
that’s fuel too.
Goals don’t stop either.
Paid this off, next one’s already in my head.
Stay comfortable… or stay hungry.
Your choice.

12-hour day out in Munds Park, start to finish, and as usual, Flag Hauling got it done āœ”ļø

Homeowner was down in Phoenix watching everything on his cameras next door. Showed up right after we wrapped and walked the lot with me.
And man… he was blown away. That’s for damn sure.

Couldn’t say enough about the job, how it was handled, how clean it came out, and how the whole process was run.
You can chase five-star reviews all day, but this right here…
seeing it in someone’s eyes, hearing it in their voice… that’s worth more than any review.

Hard to explain, but when someone truly respects the work you put in, you know you did something right.
Blue-collar work, long days, getting after it, that’s how we roll.

(Team Work Makes The Dream Work)..
Appreciate everyone who had a hand in this one, couldn’t do it without the crew behind the scenes.

Got some drone footage for the first time on a project like this…
that’s coming soon šŸ‘€
