That "factory" you found on Alibaba? 🚩

There's a good chance it's a trading company using someone else's factory photos.

The listing looks verified. The photos look legit. So you assume you're talking to the people who actually make the product… but a lot of the time, you're talking to a middleman. Extra markup, and one more layer between you and quality control.

Here's how to find out who you're really dealing with:

✅ Ask for their business license — a real manufacturer won't hesitate
✅ Ask specific production questions (machines, capacity, lead times)
✅ Request a video call walking the actual factory floor

That last one is the giveaway. If they can't show you the machines, they're probably not the ones running them.
