This will quench your thirst.

If you grew up in Jamaica, one mention of bag juice and you are already smiling.

That little plastic bag of frozen coloured sweetness — held in the corner of your mouth while you bite a tiny hole and squeeze — was the official drink of every Jamaican childhood. It cost next to nothing. It came in every colour. And on a hot afternoon after school, it was absolute perfection.

Bag juice was not trying to be healthy. It was not trying to be sophisticated. It was simply cold, sweet, and right there — the original fast food drink of the Jamaican masses.

But here is what bag juice actually represents beyond the sugar and the nostalgia:
It is community. The corner shop where everybody stopped. The school gate vendor who knew every child's flavour. The shared ritual of biting the corner just so.
It is ingenuity. Someone looked at flavoured drink, looked at a plastic bag, looked at a freezer — and created an institution. No fancy packaging, no branding budget, no marketing team. Just a product that people genuinely wanted.
It is joy. Simple, uncomplicated, entirely Jamaican joy.

We are not saying drink bag juice every day. But we are saying that some of Jamaica's most important food culture lives not in fine dining restaurants but in corner shops, school gates and roadside carts.

That is the Jamaica we celebrate at Jamaica Culinary Tours. The real one. 🇯🇲🧃
What was your favourite flavour? Grape? Strawberry? Tamarind?

Bon Appétit! Eva Longoria: Searching for France Premieres Sunday, April 12 at 9pm ET/PT

This season, Longoria samples fresh oysters in Paris, flavorsome bouillabaisse in Provence, and fluffy frog legs mousseline in Alsace. She tastes her way through braised boeuf bourguignon in Burgundy, buttery blue lobster in Brittany and beefy Bordelaise sauce in Bordeaux. In two special episodes, she returns to Paris – first to immerse herself in the Parisian art of pâtisserie, and then to indulge in an extraordinary meal along the River Seine that traces how French cuisine conquered the world in seven dishes.
