🌿🎨 Today we got MESSY… and we loved every second of it! 🤎

We turned mud into paint and let their little imaginations run wild! They explored texture, color, creativity, and the joy of getting messy while experiencing something God created with their own two hands. 🌎✨

There’s something so beautiful about giving children the freedom to slow down, get dirty, wonder, explore, and create.

At Roots of Curiosity, we believe childhood isn’t meant to be perfectly clean. It’s meant to be curious, messy, joyful, and full of discovery. 🌱

Today wasn’t just mud painting—it was a little reminder that some of the best learning happens when we let kids be kids. 🤎

Okay, so I’ve been a little quiet on here lately… 🙈

But honestly, it’s because we have been TOO BUSY HAVING FUN! 🥰

Our days at Roots of Curiosity have been filled with learning, exploring, playing, creating, asking questions, getting messy, spending time outside, and watching these sweet kiddos grow. ❤️

Sometimes I get so caught up in doing the work that I forget to stop and share what we’re doing with all of you!!!

Had such an amazing morning hosting Kaufman Moms Coffee Club 💕 Having our building filled with kiddos creating, laughing, and playing is what makes our hearts happy. We can’t wait to host another one!

Thank you so much to Chloe at Integrity Rehab for being our barista. You are a life saver! And thank you to all the moms that came out and got to enjoy story time 😊

Watching videos like this is every educator’s and parent’s worst nightmare.

As a former public school teacher, my heart breaks whenever I see stories where a child wasn’t protected the way they should have been. Every child deserves to feel safe, seen, and valued at school. It’s deeply concerning anytime systems fail and warning signs are missed or not addressed appropriately.

At Roots of Curiosity, we are committed to being different.

Our small class sizes allow us to truly know each child, not just their name, but their personality, their needs, and when something doesn’t seem right. We believe children thrive when they are known, loved, and protected.

The safety and well-being of every child entrusted to us will always come before anything else. We partner closely with families, maintain open communication, and work hard to create an environment where children feel secure enough to learn, explore, and simply be kids.

Our prayers are with everyone affected by this situation. Every child deserves adults who will listen, act, and advocate for them.

This past Sunday’s sermon was all about fear. At first, I didn’t think much of it. Then the Sunday scaries hit.

I was getting everything ready for our last camp of the summer, and this time it was with the BIG kids (ages 11–13). If I’m being honest, I was nervous. Would they be bored? Would they enjoy the lessons I planned? What would we do all week with no technology?

But God.

He showed up in the sweetest way.

These kids were incredible. We laughed, built, experimented, had meaningful conversations about the Bible, and made memories we’ll never forget. Every STEM challenge, every food experiment, and every conversation reminded me why I started Roots of Curiosity in the first place.

This week wasn’t just for them—it was for me too.

God gently reminded me that He has equipped me for this calling. No matter the age of the children, He’s the one who qualifies me. Fear may have tried to convince me I wasn’t enough, but faith reminded me that He is.💛
