Good Ultralight Training is hard to find. Holladay Aviation has figured out a way to provide realistic UL (and GA) training without weather constraints or putting inexperienced pilots at risk. This setup is a game changer! I flew it and it’s impressive!!!

HKS TBO

Hi folks. For HKS owners, what are your engine times? Giving consideration to raising the TBO to 1250 hours. I am finding that properly maintained engines at 1200 hours plus are showing no signs of wear. The caveat to this is that the 8 calendar year TBO should be an 8 calendar year IRAN. The gaskets/seals/o-rings on the engines still get brittle and should be replaced. But that will significantly reduce costs by not needing a complete overhaul.

HKS, Co., LTD, manufacturer of the HKS 700E Light Sport Engine, and its worldwide aviation engine distributor, Quicksilver Aircraft Northeast, LLC, have announced the relocation of parts supply and distribution to the United States from Japan.

Quicksilver Aircraft Northeast LLC, based in upstate New York, has been a dealer for HKS engines since 2001, and the HKS 700E Distributor and Authorized Service Center since 2014.

"We have negotiated with HKS to purchase the remaining inventories of spare parts and engines, and move them to New York to avoid delays in parts shipping and service of the HKS 700E engines in the field. The inventory available is enough to service these engines for decades to come, given the engines reliability and simplicity. And because we are managing all the inventory, we have been able to lower prices on many of the more expensive parts. Overhaul costs and turnaround times will be reduced, and parts orders will usually ship within 24 hours", stated Chris Hatin (EAA Lifetime Member 593828), owner of Quicksilver Aircraft Northeast LLC.

The HKS 700E is an ASTM Compliant 60hp Four-Stroke, opposed twin cylinder engine, specifically designed for aviation use with a 1000 Hour TBO. Since its release in 1998, nearly 1500 engines have been sold worldwide.
