Hear us out.

Alternatives look great in the showroom, great in the photos, and great for about 18 months before the Florida sun starts doing what Florida sun does. Warping, lifting edges, a deck that aged 10 years in two.

Real teak weathers with the boat, not against it. It patinas over time, it can actually be repaired when something goes wrong, and it doesn't have to be ripped out and replaced when it does.

We've seen what fake teak looks like after a couple of seasons in the Florida sun, and it's not pretty. Warping, peeling, fading; it just doesn't hold up the way real teak does.
