It was a road trip kinda summer this year. 🚗💨

We saw old friends, made new ones, and visited babies and cousins in between.

Home -> Beaufort, SC -> Dollywood -> Maryville, TN -> Lexington, KY -> Babyland General Hospital -> Home

Guys, Dollywood is so underrated! We went in with low expectations and had the best time. Other than the food (it was mostly awful), we have no complaints! Everything is super clean and well maintained, the staff were all friendly. The resort pool was lovely and my kids really enjoyed spending the afternoons there. We will definitely be back in another season to experience it a different way!

Did anyone else go to the cabbage patch doll hospital as a kid? I have such a vague, fond memory of walking through a hospital and picking out and adopting my baby. I so badly wanted my kids to have the same experience. Guys, it’s a skip lol It’s so different than I remember and essentially an overpriced gift shop. Will my kids have the same vague, fond memories? I hope so. But.. mmm.. I doubt it. 😆

We’re cooking up some ideas for next summer. Thinking Norway?? 🇳🇴🤔 Any suggestions??

We love having a little weekend away on the calendar and just had the perfect family getaway at The Belgrove in West Palm Beach!

From check in to check out, all the staff were phenomenal. The resort is so kid friendly with just enough to do to keep everyone busy and happy. Oh, and the best bacon I’ve ever had in my life. 🤤

Just back from a cheap, quickie getaway with the hubs. Was the ship dated? Yes. But did that matter? NO!

We tried the Chef’s Table for the first time- really fun splurge for our mini-anniversary. Galley tour included!

And of course we found ourselves in the casino… no big wins to report, unfortunately. 🫣😆

So I definitely went on the Disney Wish last month and forgot to post about it… 🫠 Oops!

We had a blast! The camp, as you can imagine, was phenomenal. The kids wanted to stay and play all day- which was 100% fine with us. 🥂 They were accommodating to my sensory sensitive girl and I couldn’t have asked for anything more from the camp and staff.

The Digital Photo Package is 100% worth it. As pricey as this short cruise ended up being, I’d still buy the photo package again. Everytime.

Fish extenders. This was SO fun! My kids loved finding little surprises at their cabin door everyday. Each day we walked a different hallway passing out little goodies. The kids really enjoyed this.

I think we missed the sweet spot for a Disney cruise a couple of years ago when my kids were a bit younger and more excited to meet characters- because holy moly there are a lot of them onboard to meet.

But overall, the ship was great, the crew were friendly, and I’m so glad that after so many adventures we finally took the plunge and went on a Disney cruise!
