Onto yesterday's PSA2 PR routine. At the MOCK trial, I did make a couple of modifications to stay aligned with the PSA1 due to still competing in that level (ie halting next to me in the calloff routine). We did not do all the scenerios because I want to set Effen up for success and we haven't trained on some of the behaviors. I did make mistakes, but it was due to my lack of knowledge and experience in the 2s. It's been a few years since Loki tried it. All in all, I was happy with what we did. The call off has only been tried on a decoy once before, on Tyler Peterson back in Feb.
I loved having Courtney Robbins as our judge and loved the commentary. I really appreciate the whole crew. They are some of the tightest and best training clubs I have been able to visit! Their dedication is top tier.
I have to thank all the decoys Lewis Craig Collins , Jamelle Channer , Tori Zach , KW, Scott Crawford , Alessandro Lannes and Chuck Mills for giving up their weekends time and ri e again for our dogs to beat them up. This weekend was no different. It was long, hot and grueling. Yet they kept going. On Sun, in an effort to save them a little, I donned a suit and did the decoy part of the PSA1 OB routine. To say my clothes looked like I was in the pool after getting out of the suit, was an understatement. I can't even think about running, catching and driving dog after dog.
And to end the novelette, thank you to my club! I am still tickled pink that every member was on that field in a competitor or decoy capacity. The best were our foundation dog teams. They were able to test the waters of competition and experience a trial. Lastly, for opening her home to us and letting club trial prep and both trials be at her place. That's a huge undertaking and rime commitment.
