A client of ours recently snapped this photo while flying our Cessna 172 over Smith Field. The Smith Field Airport team has been working hard to keep the runways clear from snow, but thank goodness warmer days are ahead!

We have gotten several concerned calls about a low flying helicopter of some type around the Fort Wayne Area, The Helicopter you are seeing is contracted with the power company to check power lines, so they will be flying low there is nothing to be alarmed about this is a normal routine that happens every year and sometimes a couple times a year.

The weather was nice today, keeping the Smith Field Aero Center lineman on their toes today. The staff is dedicated to make your stay as friendly and stress free as possible, weather it’s stopping for, business, Sweet Aviation for flight lessons or ground school needs, maintenance needs or it’s just someone stopping In to see what our airport is about. We are glad to see those utilizing our Airport.

Mother Nature decided to play a cruel trick on us today, but our crews are doing the best they can to keep up with it.
