When you exit the new passenger exit lanes from the gate area, you will be met with lots of windows giving a peek into the terminal building! Currently you are able to see construction progress on the new TSA queuing area. Soon construction equipment will be gone and a full view of outbound passengers flying through FWA will be in sight! ✈️

The Airport Authority received the Thomas C. Henry Destination Development Award, and our very own Chief Operating Officer, Joe Marana, was recognized with the Hospitality Leadership Award

📢 Attention Passengers! 📢

The railroad crossing at Ferguson Road will be CLOSED for the next week as crews work on the railroad. If you are coming to FWA you will need to take an alternative route. During this time, the railroad crossing at Airport Expressway remains OPEN and passengers can access the airport via Ardmore Road or Airport Drive!

Please give yourself extra time if your commute to the airport includes this area!

Girl power!

We were honored to once again participate in the Women's Fund of Greater Fort Wayne Take A Girl To Work Day, today! FWA welcomed 8, local 6th grade girls to learn more about the women that lead and work in our organization, as well as share the excitement of aviation and the airport!

This is our 2nd year participating in this great day, and we do not take this opportunity to help guide our local girls to take chances and be whoever they want to be as they grow up, lightly. We can’t wait to see what they do!

Behind the scenes of the East Terminal Expansion project - and the light is at the end of the tunnel!

Walls are beginning to come down as work continues around the Grand Hall and exit areas. The finishing touches are being put on the future retail space next to the restaurant and coffee shop, giving passengers more options when they're at the airport. Our team was also trained on the airport's brand-new exit lane technology that will soon be used as the new passenger exit leading down our new staircase and elevator/escalator area. Passengers will also start to see more of the bright, open feel of the Grand Hall coming to life!

After years of transformation, FWA’s terminal project is nearing the home stretch and is expected to wrap up this summer. We can’t wait for passengers to experience travel through space that feels like a true front door to our community!
