When most people picture a woman in trucking, they picture one seat.
The driver's seat.
That seat matters. I have spent 38 years in this business, and some of the best professional drivers I have known are women.
But the picture is bigger than one seat.
They are safety directors, technicians, dispatchers, and fleet managers. They are engineers, data scientists, and the people writing the software and testing the systems that will shape how freight moves next.
They are founders who built companies from a single truck.
Every one of them is part of this industry. None of them is less a part of it than another.
Each of those roles makes the others stronger. The safety director protects the driver. The technician keeps the truck road ready. The founder creates the jobs.
Scripture puts it simply: "the body does not consist of one member but of many" (1 Corinthians 12:14, ESV).
