Please be advised that Temporary Flight Restrictions (TFRs) will be in effect for Presidential/Vice Presidential operations, including a TFR that affect Meacham Airport (FTW) beginning October 1st from 1400 - 1500L and 1945-2130L.

For the safety and compliance of all airport users, please review the following operational restrictions and requirements:

All VFR and IFR aircraft must be operating on an assigned/discreet transponder code and must be in communication with ATC ("squawking and talking"). IFR and VFR flight plans must be filed.
Multiple TFRs may be in effect for POTUS/VPOTUS operations. Please carefully note the applicable dates and times before conducting any flight operations.

Meacham Airport was able to capture some great shots of our nearly complete Apron B/TWY G project. The new TWY G was re-opened last Monday. This project is expected to be completed in the next week or two. It included full depth reconstructions of Apron B and TWY G, re-aligning TWY G to meet newer FAA design guidance, new LED light fixtures, markings, and grading improvements. This project also paints the fresh new "Welcome to Fort Worth" logo we have all known for years.

Fort Worth has had many nicknames – Cowtown, Panther City, Funkytown, etc. But in July, it received a new one thanks to Texas House Concurrent Resolution 142: "Aviation & Defense Capital of Texas".

After all, the city has a robust ecosystem of aviation companies like American Airlines, Lockheed Martin, and Bell Flight – as well as several businesses dedicated to aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul, like Embraer, Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation, MTU Aero Engines and others.

Plus, is home to DFW Airport and the Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth, along with three City-owned airports – Meacham International Airport, Fort Worth Spinks Airport, and Perot Field.
