Over the past several days, we have been closely monitoring National Weather Service briefings related to the upcoming winter storm. Current forecasts indicate the potential for significant snowfall combined with extremely cold temperatures that may last through much of next week.
Because of these conditions, we want to be proactive and prepared to ensure the safety of our students, families, and staff. At this time, we are planning for the possibility of a full week away from traditional in-person instruction. This plan would include a combination of scheduled make-up days and eLearning days to maintain learning continuity while keeping everyone safe. Students will be bringing home their iPads to participate in eLearning activities.
Dismissal announcements will be made through our school messenger system, social media, and local media outlets. If conditions continue as predicted, the week would begin with a make-up day on Monday, followed by an eLearning day on Tuesday, with additional days structured as weather conditions require.
We understand that weather-related disruptions can create challenges for families, and we appreciate your flexibility and understanding. Our decisions will continue to be guided by student safety, road conditions, and extreme cold concerns. Additional updates will be shared as soon as decisions are finalized.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership.
