It is very important to use experienced movers when moving your piano. Having the proper specialized training and equipment is crucial when moving them. Overtightening leg bolts is one of the most common mistakes we see.

Although general moving companies can move your piano, we highly recommend using a specialized piano mover, which will help avoid small mistakes like this, that can develop to a big problem.

Today at The Ryman we had to cut and drill out a few leg bolts that were seized into place. Thankfully they were not the worst we have seen and were able to get them out relatively quickly. We then replaced all 4 bolts and sockets, lubricated and repeatedly tested them to ensure they work smoothly.

Now the piano is ready for many more years on stage!

We send our rental pianos just about all over Tennessee but this was a first! Yesterday, we had our rental Yamaha C7 underground at The Caverns for the Vienna Boys Choir.
If you haven't had a chance yet to check out a show or tour at The Caverns then you definitely should. The acoustics and atmosphere were incredible!

If you need a piano for your event, we have many different sizes and types AND colors available. Our delivery team and tuners are available weekends anywhere you need a piano. Now including underground delivery. 😀

These plates are getting prepped today and ready for paint.

Did you know that each piano string at A440 exerts anywhere from 150 to 200 pounds of force. For the bigger pianos like this Yamaha C7, that can equate to about 40,000 lbs of total force across the entire plate. 🤯

Regular tunings maintain this tension and will help preserve the life of your piano and prevent costly repairs in the future.

With weather like this, its important to make sure you keep up with the maintenance on your car especially with things like tires.
