Something magical is on the horizon!

Disney Cruise Line’s Fall 2027 and Spring 2028 itineraries open to the general public Tuesday, September 8, and if you’ve been waiting for the right time to book a Disney Cruise, now is the time to get your wish list ready!

With new port options, the return of New York sailings, and the return of Halloween on the High Seas and Very Merrytime cruises, there are so many exciting possibilities for the end of 2027. 🎃🎄🚢

And there’s one important thing to know about Disney Cruise Line pricing: the day a sailing is released is generally when you’ll find its lowest available price. Disney uses dynamic pricing, so as more people book a sailing and availability decreases, the price can increase. Waiting for the price to drop usually isn’t the strategy you want with a brand-new itinerary.

Congrats! Another Happy Family Booked for their FIRST EVER DISNEY CRUISE! 🚢

This one was especially fun to plan because this family is usually a Disney World family. Theme parks every year, lots of Disney magic… but they had never ventured onto a Disney Cruise!

And when you’re trying something completely new, I don’t think the answer is simply, “Here are all the options. Pick one!”

My job is to look at your family, your travel style, your comfort level, and what you want out of the vacation, and then find the option that makes the most sense for YOU.

For this family, we had a few things to consider:

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 They weren't sure how their kids would feel about being on a ship — totally understandable for a first cruise!

🛳️ They wanted a shorter cruise so they could experience Disney Cruise Line without committing to a longer sailing right out of the gate.

Halloween Horror Nights season is creeping back up (yes, that's intentional), and if this is on your radar for this fall, now's the time to start looking at dates instead of waiting until October.

This one's different from a typical Universal day. It runs after regular park hours, it's a completely different crowd and energy, and dates sell out, especially the weekend nights closest to Halloween. I've had people assume they could grab tickets last minute and end up with only weeknight options left.

Fall is one of the most underrated times to book a Sandals or Beaches trip. But if you want to keep summer going just a little longer, they are worth a look.

Prices tend to ease up once summer crowds thin out and you will easily find open beach chairs, quiet pools, and available reservations at specialty restaurants.

If hurricane season has you hesitant, there are several Sandals and Beaches resorts (Curaçao and Barbados among them) that sit outside the hurricane belt, so while you may get some rain, it is rare to experience a hurricane in these locations.

It's also just a good excuse for a reset before the busier months hit (fall sports, holidays, the whole stretch that tends to pile up fast once September starts). A few days somewhere warm in between all of that goes a long way.

This month was full in every direction: back to school, back to work, vendor events, usual house and dog chaos, and still running things for my clients.

These past two weeks especially have felt like a lot, but days have felt manageable. And that’s what juggling life looks like. There are going to be days where I am on top of things, posting a ton, commenting and engaging with everyone - and some days where it’s enough to get dinner on the table and answers a few emails.

The reality is, life doesn’t slow down. There isn’t ever a slow season, just moments and days. I hear so many people waiting for things to calm down and slow down before they start planning vacations or taking that once in a lifetime trip.

If this past year has taught me anything, is that you can’t wait for life to slow down to do the things you enjoy. And you may not want the extra stress of planning a trip and working out the details because it’s one more thing on your plate, and I get that, truly. But working with me helps take that off your to-do list. I take that stress away - the research, comparing, scheduling, booking- I help with all of it so you can keep getting dinner on the table and keep showing up for your family while still getting an excellent trip.

If a holiday cruise for this year has been on your mind, this is the nudge to actually act on it. Cabins on the sailings closest to Christmas and New Year's are already moving fast, and the good rooms (and sometimes entire categories) are the first to go. If this year is even a real possibility for your family, let's talk now, not in October when the options left are the ones nobody really wants.

Here's the part most people don't know though: several cruise lines are already releasing their 2027 and 2028 holiday itineraries. That might sound early, but it actually makes this the best possible time to start thinking about it, especially if a holiday cruise is something you'd love to build toward but this year's timeline just doesn't work.

Booking further out usually means more ship and itinerary options, better pricing before it climbs, and a lot less stress trying to make a short-notice trip come together.

Whether you're chasing this December or setting your sights on a couple years out, the smartest move is the same: check real availability now instead of waiting until everyone else has the same idea. 🎄
