Got squeezed on the Poplar St Bridge. Want to show everyone the difference in the camera views. The front view shows the truck cut across the front of us a little tight. The bridge shook the heck out of our camera for sure.

As we gather for holiday bbq's and pool parties, take time to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice. They are the reason we continue to have our freedoms. Thank you!

We made it through a pretty good storm. When traveling always look at the weather radar to see what you are driving into. This helps with making your trip plan. Sometimes leaving an hour earlier will help you stay ahead of a storm front and sometimes leaving 2-3 hours later will allow the storm to go through and you follow it in much safer conditions! Always be safe!

I have gotten many calls over the years from automobiles mad at our trucks for not slowing down or moving over to allow them to enter the roadway from an off ramp.

FMCSA Lane Merging Rules and Best Practices
When merging lanes, FMCSA regulations and safety guidance emphasize that all drivers — including commercial motor vehicle (CMV) operators — must follow the same fundamental right of way rules while also being extra vigilant due to the size and blind spots of large trucks.
1. Right of Way Rule
When two lanes merge into one, the driver whose lane is ending or who is entering the existing lane must yield to traffic already in that lane legalclarity.org. This means slowing down, adjusting speed, or stopping if a safe gap is not available.

Always be safe and respectful when driving.

High winds are extremely dangerous for large trucks. Especially if they have light loads or they are empty. We have had many drivers the past few days pull off the road and stop after seeing trucks in front of them almost tip over or themselves getting blown from one lane to the next. make sure that when the winds are blowing hard you don't spend much time alongside a big truck. You might feel save as you pass and you don't feel the wind, but the truck is getting the brunt of it and you don't want that truck pushed into or on you. Just a safety reminder.

Oh, what beautiful weather! Everyone don't forget safety now that the sun is out and it is warming up. Following distance is so important. If you get behind a truck and you are too close, many bad things can happen. You can't see what is in front of you so if traffic stops due to an accident or an animal runs across the road, you need to be far enough back to be able to stop without hitting the vehicle in front of you. If debris is in the road, you won't see it until too late when the vehicle in front of you either swerves to miss or straddles it coming out right on top of you. Also, if following closely a rock or road debris can come up from the tires of the vehicle in front of you possibly cracking a windshield or scratching paint. Stay back and stay safe!
