July & August are pretty relaxed as far as events go. With the potential for high heat/humid days we do only meet & greets or using our carriages as photo shoots as far as working events go. We do hook up early mornings for training/keeping the boys in shape. Today we had the pleasure of being able to hook up Rusty and Dusty for a few minutes at the Clarke County Fairgrounds for an early morning demo/ride for the 4h horse kids. A little over a week ago we took these same boys for a meet & greet at the Warren County Fairgrounds for their Daycare morning. We absolutely love letting the youth see and learn about our wonderful horses and driving. Thank you to Curt & Marsha for for talking about all the ins and outs today along with Corrine, Ryker, and Tracey for wrangling the daycare kiddos. ❤️

Can’t wait to see more pictures. Had so much fun The Homestead Farm at Fruit Hill Orchard LLC this past Saturday. The weather cooperated and there were so many smiles plus Darren got the required vanilla ice cream cone.

I was fortunate enough to have my dad with me for 23 years before he passed away. While never enough time, he taught me to love the outdoors, John Wayne movies were the only ones worth watching, to work hard, and family is the most important whether they are blood related or by choice. The SCC and I have been blessed to have some great dads in our mist over the years. Some are more seen than others, but none are less important. From carriage drivers, mentors, and the ones who have worn many hats to the ones behind the scenes, answering frantic calls and fixing fences, these dads keep the SCC going. Happy Father’s Day!
