ICDC was officially documenting the damages for the county Board of Supervisors today. The tornado out of Tupelo entered Itawamba County along the county line road and traveled in a northeastern direction to the Tombigbee River. Several communities in its path in northwestern Itawamba County suffered damages. ICDC encourages everyone to remember those in the path of the storm.

Port Itawamba is located on the east side of the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway in Fulton, Mississippi adjacent to US Hwy 78 (Future I-22). The Mississippian Railway runs through the port, connecting to the BNSF Railway in Amory.
