Before and after on this Johnsen style skiff restoration for a local customer. Contact us to see how we can help you restore and revitalize your boat! We’ll be accepting more repairs and other small jobs throughout the coming months. This 1983 hull was the customer’s childhood boat and he wanted to give it a new lease on life for his own kids to enjoy it with him for years to come. The work included replacing the old rotten transom with coosa, reinforcing the benches, new glass and gelcoat on the interior, fixing voids and new on the exterior, and new basic electrical and fuel rigging. Here’s the latest build finished a little while ago. FT186 skiff with custom aluminum work, side console, finished cockpit liner and minn kota trolling motor. Colors are haze gray and blue tone white.

We are currently booked up with repair work and will be focusing on that for a little while, but skiff build slots are available for this winter and next spring!

Thrilled to deliver our first customer build to . Zach got a simple and ultra, ultra light guide skiff for guiding in the shallow creeks and flood tides of the lowcountry. With its very shallow draft, this skiff will allow him significantly longer fishing windows with the tides than his previous boat did without fear of getting stuck. Vacuum infused with 100% premium epoxy resin, this boat is a balance of ultra light weight and toughness. Options include: 17 ft 6 length, epoxy/graphite bottom coat, keel guard, bare carbon spray rail extensions for running swells and big water in the sounds, poling platform and large casting platform with removable lean bar, push pole caddy and pole holders, Lenco electric trim tabs and basic standard options that we include with all boats. She’ll have a 60 hp Tohatsu hung on the back this week, and we expect up to 45 mph. Look out for this beauty in Beaufort SC and surrounding areas.
