As America celebrates its 250th birthday this year, the EMO Empowered Committee (EEC) recognizes the diverse backgrounds, cultures, and unique experiences that have helped shape both the country and our vibrant workplace.

We are proud of the rich heritages that make up EMO Trans. Many of our USA employees have family histories that began in another country, with loved ones who courageously made the journey to the United States in search of new opportunities, a brighter future, and the chance to build a life for generations to come.

EMO Trans Canada is looking for an experienced Ocean Import Coordinator to join its team in Toronto! CargoWise experience is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate and manage ocean import shipments from origin to final delivery.
- Handle import documentation, customs requirements, arrival notices, and shipment tracking.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, customers, overseas agents, customs brokers, and other stakeholders.
- Monitor shipment milestones and proactively resolve any delays or issues.
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry and documentation.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain strong relationships with clients and service providers.

Requirements

- Previous experience in ocean freight/import operations.
- Strong knowledge of import procedures and documentation.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- CargoWise knowledge/experience is preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
