I am not to keen on brokers. My past experience has never been good either hiring one to ship a load or to haul for them. I will plug www uship.com right now because it almost always works really good. I wish there were more loads on it though.

In recent years I have seen invoices for shipping snowguns and other ski area related products and have talked to the trucker. Basically the trucker (independent) is getting about half. That is total crap, uship takes about 25%.

Here is a short video of Chance's experience expecting a dedicated truck but the broker passed it onto another company. This is fraud.

If the east coast port strike happens, this will negatively affect the recovery efforts in NC and TN. The last part of this interview, he states one week of shut down equals a month of recovery, 2 to 3 weeks, a quarter.

Hopefully they either come to an agreement or delay the shut down due to the hurricane recovery.

We made a little trip to Seattle to pick up a new one trip shipping container to build our shop with. Plus we picked up a snowgun and pump we rented to a big company for an experiment.

I diesel price in WA isn't friendly. Put enough in to make sure I can get it in Idaho for about $1.40 less a gallon.

This is a good interview with a man shutting down his small trucking company. 2018 to 2020 were good years for us and I am glad we focused on other aspects of our business now. The last year plus we haven't done many loads because loosing money became very easy.

We just paid our annual insurance premium and will continue to keep everything current.

Anyone have space for some lockers going from Cataloochee Ski Area, (Maggie Valley, NC) to Windsor, CO? About 1800 miles.
Three lockers 36”x46”x76”, estimated weight 300lbs.
Pallet two is two lockers 36”x28”x76”, estimated weight 200lbs.
This is for one of my customers in CO. Looking for a trucker (no brokers) and you will deal directly with the receiver for delivery and payment. This is LTL and no rush. Can be on an open trailer.
Ready to pick up Monday through Friday, normal business hours. The road to the ski area is very steep but paved. It isn't a problem with a semi, but want to let you know.
Forklift at both ends.

Good week of surprise local loads.

I hauled a 29,000 # telehandler from Garden Valley to Boise on Monday.

Wednesday I rescued a friends gooseneck north of Boise. His pickup broke down. Noah helped on this load.

Friday I moved a 53' refer trailer locally a few miles.

A few months ago I replaced my 5th wheel hitch. The old one is available if anyone needs one.

This is good news to see a bill introduced to make stagging accidents (brake checking) a federal crime. I have not read this bill but I hope it is clean, simple, short and to the point. I hope junk isn't added to the bill that would cause some to not support it.

I haven't been driving my semi much this year but I have been putting it to good use.

In May we loaded up two sheds, one was 16' x 20' and the other was 10' x 16'. We bought these in Garden Valley for our place and transported them about 9 miles early on a Saturday morning. They sat on the trailer for about a month.

Yesterday and today I helped to move this sewer truck from up a dirt road where it broke down, to the road where I could load it. I delivered it to Jake Volk Repair in Caldwell.

Old Freddie is fun to drive.

Spring is here in Garden Valley, Idaho and that means time to move the snowcat to its summer hibernation home.

We hauled our Polaris Ranger to the trailhead so Noah could go to work at Silver Creek Plunge for a few days. There is still a good amount of snow up high on the road.
